Tarmia Klass is a third year PhD candidate in Gender Studies and Anthropology at The University of Adelaide. Her PhD work focuses on fat activists on Instagram. The themes of power, vulnerability, care, and community are at the centre of her feminist auto-theoretical, ethnographic research. Broadly, her research interests are around anything social media, Fat Studies, and feminist anthropology. In her spare time Tarmia is a member of the Adelaide University-based ‘Reading Feminism’ group and plays music in her local concert band.
