Dr Samantha Owen
Dr Samantha Owen (she/her/hers) lives and works on the beautiful lands of the Whadjuck Noongar people. Samantha is the Director, Gender Equity and Inclusion (Academic Lead) at Curtin University. She is also a co-founder and an Academic Co-Lead of the Curtin University Gender Research Network. Samantha’s expertise is in the areas of gender, modern history and Humanities and Social Sciences Education. Her research is on trauma, memory, place, identity and gender and her current projects are on narrative/yarning landscapes, activism and community formation, and sexual violence.
