AWGSA recognizes that we operate on unceded, sovereign lands of Australia’s First Peoples. We acknowledge Australia’s colonial history and its influence in some feminist studies, which have led to systemic, academic and institutional marginalization of First Nations women’s and gender-diverse scholarship.
We commit to the meaningful, respectful representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and gender-diverse peoples in our citational practices, events, and advocacy.
